THE STORY SO FAR

“When we were teenagers we had a little sound system and would put on illegal raves in the local woods. The sound systems got bigger as we got older. We were out doing it pretty much every weekend. When we lived on the road we busked for food and diesel. As much as anything Dissident Noize Factory is an expression of that. Travelling and loud noise is what we love“ 

These three raver punks based in The Forest of Dean, get their sound from drawing on their past experiences of playing in punk bands, busking to survive and organising free parties. Inspired by bands like Sensor, Drop Kick Murpheys, Sonic Boom Six, The Prodigy and classic four to the floor dance music, their high energy sound is a mash up of Punk, Rave, Rap and Ska. “We love mashing up genres. If it sounds good and it fits it doesn’t matter what genre it comes from. So long as it brings the vibe and the energy.” With a mix of catchy melodic choruses, and angry politically charged lyrics, they are the kind of band to which you will lose your all mates on a festival dance floor, and be too busy enjoying yourself to notice. 

Their debut album ‘Future Shock’, which was dubbed the ‘soundtrack to the revolution’ by Occasional Cinema, Bristol, was released at the end of 2019. The album was recorded and Produced by Tom Donovan (also writer and producer for ‘Monster Florence’) at his studio in Essex. “ We wanted this album to make people need to get up and dance. We wanted to talk about the corruption and inequality in the world, but we also wanted it to feel hopeful. Bits of these songs we had been carrying around separately for years.” 

These renegade sound pioneers have been making waves in the underground music scene, leaving their mark on the festival circuit and beyond. Having supporting 'Back to the Planet' during some gigs of their tour, setting the stage for their own electrifying headline support slot for 'Ozric Tenticles' at Equinox festival. Their explosive also include taking centre stage headlining at 'Ferrel Fest,' where they unleashed their unique blend of punk, rave, rap, and ska to a hyped crowd. These festival warriors have graced renowned stages such as 'Bearded Theory,' 'Boomtown,' and 'Shambala,' leaving festival-goers in loving their high-energy, genre-defying sets. And the saga continues as they embark on the next chapter of their musical journey, currently in the studio recording a new album that promises to be a sonic revelation.
